In reply to your letter of the 10th July

I am directed by Hr. Secretary Harcourt to state that the Governor of Hong Kong asked for information as to your previous service under the Crown with a view to consider- ing your eligibility for pension, and that particulars were sent out to the Colony on the 11th March last.

2. Hr. Harcourt has heard nothing further on the subject, but enquiry is being made of the Governor.
